“No One Needs Another Empty Promise.” A Boss Q&A with Razvan S.

February 24, 2025

Why do some affiliate managers actually help you grow while others just flood your inbox with fluff like “exciting opportunities”?

Razvan knows a thing or two about building connections. With a background in sports promotions and marketing, he’s spent years working in environments where strategy and good instincts make all the difference.

This Q&A is a sneak peek into Razvan’s views of what makes a great collaboration, and why keeping things simple (and having a good sense of humor) goes a long way in affiliate marketing.

Q: You’ve worked in a variety of roles, from sports promotions to affiliate management. What drew you to iGaming?

Razvan:

“Let’s not lie to ourselves, the potential to make BIG things happen in this industry is always there. It’s a rollercoaster, but hey, I like a bit of chaos, it keeps things fun.”

Q: What’s your typical day like at Boss Partners?

Razvan:

“It’s a mix of emails, meetings, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. A lot of my time is spent working with affiliates to find real opportunities that actually make sense for them. And yes, a little humor here and there keeps the day interesting.”

Q: You’re a big sports fan—Real Madrid and the LA Lakers, right? Do you ever see parallels between sports and affiliate marketing?

Razvan:

“Oh, definitely. Both require strategy and knowing when to take your shot. Play it safe and analyze the game, or just go all in. Just like in sports, everyone thinks they have the perfect game plan. The fun part is proving them right… or wrong.”

Q: With such a dynamic role, how do you unwind?

Razvan:

“I love watching a good football game, especially if it’s Real Madrid playing, or catching a movie that’s been on my list. I also play basketball whenever I can; it’s my way of staying active and clearing my head. And, of course, there’s traveling. Meeting new people and exploring new places keeps me inspired, which I think shows up in how I work with affiliates.”

Q: What advice would you give someone considering a partnership with Boss Partners?

Razvan:

“I’d say: You really don’t have to just take my word for it. Work with us, and you’ll see. We are in this together, since your growth means our growth. It’s more than a partnership really, it’s a team effort.”

Q: What’s next for you as you continue your journey with Boss Partners?

Razvan:

“I’m all about building more partnerships and seeing where they can take us. On a personal level, maybe I’ll finally get around to seeing Real Madrid win a UCL final. Work hard, laugh harder, that’s my plan.”
